The idea for the Bottle Bezel™ was concieved in March 2007 during a Self Defense Seminar. The subject of improvised self defense tools was being discussed. I was holding a 20 oz. soft drink bottle, and I thought the bottle itself could be used as a improvised self defense tool if the bottle cap could be replaced with a sturdier one intended to be used as an impact device. It seemed painfully obvious (pun intended), so it was off to the drawing board, and in late 2007 Osprey Innovations LLC was formed to make this idea a reality.  Al Osprey Innovations LLC products are designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.

In June 2008 the Bottle Bezel was debuted at the International Blade Show in Atlanta Georgia to rave reviews.
